Progresso - Grounds for Progress Phase 1

Many small-scale farming families in the northern dry Corridor of Nicaragua are unable to secure stable incomes from their coffee production. Poverty is widely felt in the area, where most rural families live on less than $1.90 a day.

With your help, this project will be able to provide crucial support to 258 small-scale farmers. They will receive agricultural inputs and equipment along with training and be provided with technical assistance to learn sustainable farming practices, post-harvest management and financial farm management. Additionally, this project will help facilitate the process of creating and commercializing Nicaragua's first single-origin coffee, Cafe Dipilto.
